Slay hoards of the undead with your friends and a crazy arsenal of combo weapons.

Deep Silver has released a new gameplay trailer today for their upcoming MOBA, Dead Island: Epidemic. This latest trailer features four full minutes of non-stop gameplay, with a focus on game modes, characters, and weapon crafting (in addition to the visceral slaying of zombies, of course).

Self-described as the “world’s first ZOMBA,” Epidemicgives players direct control over their character as they team up with others in the game’s cooperative Hoard and Scout modes. There is also a “PvPvPvE” mode called Scavenger Hunt, where players will work together to destroy teams of enemy players, in addition to the swarming computer-controlled zombies that cover the screen.

You’ll also get a glimpse of the different characters you can play as in Epidemic, who each have their own unique (and bloody) combat style, from melee, to ranged weapons, to healing support.

Finally, the trailer touches upon Epidemic’s weapon mechanics, where players can craft new items from blueprints and components they’ll earn from completing matches with their team. The zany weapons include everything from flaming trumpets to “paint rollers of death.” There’s even a devastating shark and tornado special attack!

Dead Island: Epidemic is currently available in Early Access form on Steam, while a full release date has yet to be announced. Either way, when the game does get released, it will be completely free to slay – err, free to play. Den of Geek had a chance to check out the Early Access version of Epidemicback in March, and we thought it was bloody good fun.
