Prepare to FALCON PUNCH your way through Super Smash Bros. on Wii U and 3DS.
Nintendo has been teasing that the next Super Smash Bros. character announcement would be coming today, and not only did they deliver on that promise, but they revealed a total of three new characters that will be coming to both versions of the popular fighting game.
The first character is one that fans have been eagerly anticipating for a while now: the triumphant return of Captain Falcon and his all-powerful FALCON PUNCH! In addition, we’ll also be greeted with two newcomers from the Fire Emblem universe, Lucina and Robin. The latter will come with a male and female character variant.
This brings the grand total of confirmed characters up to a whopping 36 so far, and you can check out the most recent additions in action by watching Nintendo’s announcement trailer just above this paragraph. The 3DS version of Super Smash Bros. is set to arrive first on October 2, 2014, while the Wii U version is expected to release sometime this holiday season.
