BioWare released a strange trailer this morning. Is it a new IP or something we've seen before?
BioWare dropped a mysterious, nightmarish trailer this morning called "You've Been Chosen." What it refers to is anyone's guess.
The trailer depicts nightmarish scenes, including a man with a face of smoke and another with a face of light. Interesting. See for yourself:
Well, I'm going to speculate just a little. It's a fact that BioWare is currently working on Star Wars and Mass Effect games. There's also going to release the new Dragon Age soon.
This trailer is a bit too unconventional for a Star Warsgame, so we're going to rule that out.
It COULD be a Mass Effect teaser. There are several hints: "you've been chosen" and the face of light could signify indoctrination. We know that when the Reapers take control of your mind, you start having nightmarish visions (e.g. Shepard and the little boy -- if you're down with the "Indoctrination Theory of Mass Effect 3").
OR, it could be a brand new IP. Something completely new from BioWare in the early days of a new console generation sounds about right to me. Although the developer usually deals with scifi, they could be taking a crack at a survival horror RPG...
Whatever it is, I'm sure it'll be awesome. We might find out more at Gamescom 2014...
