All your have to do is beat Halo: CE in 96 minutes, and you have yourself a world record.
Andrew Halabourda, popular Halo speedrunner and current world record holder, beat his own Halo: Combat Evolved record by a little over 2 minutes -- clocking in at 97 minutes.
Check out Andrew's awesome run on his Twitch channel, or just watch it below:
Every time I watch a speedrun, I'm amazed by how much gameplay you can skip in each level. From the very start, Andrew just jumps past grunts and elites like they're not even there. Sure, he runs into some trouble with the Flood, enemies that will chase you across a map to eat your brains, but all in all, it's a pretty smooth playthrough.
Oh, and he beat the game on Legendary difficulty, just in case you're interested in taking a shot at beating his record. This is no easy task. You might want to take your time and beat the game several times, get to know each level by heart, and find the fastest way to get past your enemies.
I believe in you, though.
