Whether fighting in real time or planning a tactical approach, Inquisition offers unique combat styles to make quick work of your foes.
BioWare has released a brand new Gameplay Features trailer for their upcoming fantasy action RPG Dragon Age: Inquisition, and this time the central focus is placed on the game’s multi-faceted combat system. Along with a helpful narration of how the precision-based combat in the game will actually work, you’ll also be treated to over two minutes of action-packed gameplay, showing off powerful spells, devastating melee attacks, and much more.
The combat mechanics in Dragon Age: Inquisition are a mix of real time action and a “pause-and-play” tactical camera. The latter option lets the player stop time in the middle of a fight, and allows them to gain information on their enemies, as well as issue strategic commands to other party members fighting alongside the inquisitor. Once all orders have been issued, the player can then start time up again to watch the conflict unfold, stopping and starting again to make further adjustments.
Dragon Age: Inquisition was originally supposed to come out at the beginning of October, but a recent delay has set the game’s new release date as November 18, 2014 for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.
