Deep Silver revealed some gory Dead island 2 gameplay as Gamescom, and you can see it here...
Looking more like a first person Dead Rising, the second proper outing of Deep Silver's Dead Island isn't going to be afraid of going over the top on the blood-spilling front. The new trailer for the game demonstrates the myriad ways player will be able to take out the undead in the lush climes of California.
Hammers, machetes, maces, guns, hedge trimmers and more can be used to turn zombies into so much finely tenderised giblet meat, and it's all presented in full current gen loveliness, the kind that delights in covering your screen with finely-rendered blood, gore and bone. Tasty.
The original Dead Island was a surprise, being very enjoyable, and a unique mixture of Left 4 Dead and Borderlands, but it had plenty of faults. Let's hope Dead Island 2 addresses these, and polishes the title into what could well be the best zombie apocalypse title yet. Have a look at the trailer yourself and see what you think.
