Sony has just announced at their Gamescom press conference what they're calling "Share Play," which basically allows your PSN friends to join you in-game on your PS4, even if they don't own the game you're playing. In fact, your friend won't even need to download the game at all!
We are awaiting full details, such as if their play will be limited in any sort of way and when this feature will actually hit. We do know it is a part of the PS4's 2.0 software, although we do not have a release date for it just yet, although Sony has it slated for sometime this Fall.
