Ubisoft has released an 11 minute gameplay walkthrough of Assassin's Creed: Unity's solo missions, and here it is...

The first current gen-only Assassin's Creedis looking mighty fine, and Unitywill take place in what Ubisoft is calling the biggest, most intricate city in the series yet. Paris has been recreated with impressive attention to detail, and includes accurately reproduced interiors this time, such as the immense Notre Dame, seen in this gameplay demonstration.

Shown in the below walkthrough are a number of new features introduced in Unity, such as an open, unrestricted assassination system that doesn't force players down a linear path. Instead, these missions will let you come up with your own way to reach and take down your mark.

To aid you, the missions will now have modifier objectives, which are optional, but will allow various alternative routes to your target, such as more stealthy options, so you can avoid combat with cunning and distraction. Of course, if you'd rather make a major impact, you can still go in sword swinging, it's up to you.

To refine the stealth system, Unity also features an always available stealth movement system (no convenient shrubbery needed). When activated, Arno moves without making a noise, and it allows for a more varied and interesting element of stealth.

It's all good stuff, and the game certainly looks very impressive visually. It's clearly still traditional Assassin's Creed underneath, more so than Black Flag, and with the addition of co-operative play, it could be the best yet. We'll see.

Assassin's Creed: Unity will be available on October 28 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
