Can you survive Alien: Isolation's newest trailer?
Alien: Isolation is only a few weeks away. Arriving Oct. 7 for basically every platform imaginable, the newest game in this franchise (dare I call it a reboot?) is definitely a Game of the Year contender -- a first for an Aliengame.
Why? Well, it just happens to be really scary. It also recreates the setting and feel of the original 1979 film almost perfectly. It's not about shooting xenomorphs. Instead, you're the prey, and the seemingly invincible alien is out to get you. For all the button mashing, bullet-riddled FPS out there, Alien: Isolation stands out from the crowd as a very unique experience. This might be the Alien game we always wanted.
I played this at E3 this year, and pretty much felt all of the bad things while trying to sneak past the xenomorph. Mostly, I failed. Sometimes, I ran fast enough to get away, lock myself in a room, and sit there for a couple minutes planning my next move. Upon exiting the room? Dead. That's pretty much how this game goes. Can't wait to do it all over again!
