Nintendo alleviates any fears of a last-minute delay, as both games are still confirmed for 2014.

Nintendo has finally come clean on the release dates for their two biggest holiday titles, Super Smash Bros. Wii U and Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. After continuously plugging a vague “Holiday 2014” release window, we can now all rest assured that both games are still on track to launch before the year is up.

As some had already suspected, Super Smash Bros. will officially come to Wii U on November 21, alongside the first wave of Nintendo’s new Amiibo figures. Nintendo has also confirmed that a second wave of Amiibo toys are planned for release in December, and will include such fan-favorite characters as Luigi, Zelda, Captain Falcon, Diddy Kong, Little Mac, and Pit.

While we’re on the topic of December, Captain Toad: Treasure Trackerwill be excavating all kinds of hidden gems on December 5. Better yet, the game will only set you back $39.99, and Nintendo confirmed that Captain Toadwill also be supporting the line of Amiibo figures in some capacity as well.

The release dates of Super Smash Bros. Wii U and Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker are especially good news for Nintendo fans, after recent rumors began circulating among the community that the latter had been pushed back to 2015.
