The Dark Below, the first big expansion for Destiny, will arrive this December. Here are all the details!
For those of you waiting to get some new Destiny content, it's almost that time. Bungie has announced that the first expansion, The Dark Below, will arrive on Dec. 9. for a higher price tag than you might be used to for DLC/expansion content.
There are several new things included in the new expansion:
New gear will be available to Guardians. This gear has not yet been detailed, but it will probably be available to those trying to hit the NEW level cap, which will raise to 32. Time to have a serious talk with the Cryptarch? Of course, you'll get five additional bounty slots that should help you get those exotics a bit faster...hopefully.
As far as the story mode goes, it's all about the Hive god, Crota -- you know, the guy whose sword you used in one of the Moon missions in the base game. So you should expect a very Hive-heavy expansion. Eris, a new character at the Tower, will be assigning you the new missions.
Along with the story missions, The Will of Crota is the new 3-person strike and Crota's End is the new 6-player raid. If you own a PlayStation 3 or 4, you'll also get the exclusive second strike, The Undying Mind.
So if you've finished all the core missions, strikes, and the raid, it might be time to pick up those guns again and start warming up. Crota is coming.
