A new trailer for the current gen GTA V confirms and shows off the new FPS mode, and it's a stunner...
It's not often that you can make a single, simple change to a game in order to create a totally different experience, but that's just what's happened to Grand Theft Auto V, as Rockstar has confirmed the addition of a first person mode to the Xbox One, PS4, and PC versions of the game.
The new mode will allow the whole game to be played in a new first person mode, but this is no simple camera shift, and Rockstar hasn't simply moved the coordinates of the game's camera to facilitate the view. Instead, the dev team have reworked the whole game, adding in real first person mechanics, such as iron sight aiming, vehicle interiors, an even working HUDs in cockpits. Game mechanics have also been reworked, including revised vehicle handling to fit with the first person control, and a new selection of aiming modes, including assisted and totally free. The end result is one that looks pretty superb, I think you'll agree.
I've been hankering for a first person view in GTAfor years now, and I know I'm not alone in this regard. With this latest update to the current gen version of GTA V, Rockstar has made this happen. The below trailer shows off the first person action in vehicles, on-foot and whilst airborne, and as well as letting us know what a first person GTA is going to be like it also shows off the game's new visuals, a feature that a first person view will really make the most of. Yes, GTA Von current gen just got a whole lot more exciting.
Grand Theft Auto V is due for release on Xbox One and PS4 on November 18, and PC on January 27, 2015.
