Destiny's first DLC launched next week, and here's the new trailer to get you in the mood...
The anticipation ahead of The Dark Below's release amongst Destinyplayers is understandably high. Although some may argue that the DLC is a little skimpy for its hefty price tag, there's no denying that it'll also introduce more of what people want. That's new missions, strikes and a new raid, as well as a host of new gear and gameplay tweaks.
Trying to remedy the various issues people have had with the game since day one, Bungie has already made a number of changes to the game. This includes changing the infamous Cryptarch, nerfing and buffing weapons, altering the PvP special event, The Iron Banner, and more recently altering exotic mechanics and adding more swordplay. The DLC will expand upon all of that, with new bounties, a new NPC quest giver and vendor, and weapons that evolve from common to exotic via quests.
Those playing the game since day one, or even earlier if they played the beta, will be aware at just how much the game has changed over the last couple of months, mostly for the better, but Bungie still hasn't addressed major issues like the lack of story or problems with team building. With the DLC, at least the universe may get some extra detail to fill out the lore, without having to visit a website. Here's hoping.
The Dark Below will be available on December 9, and PlayStation owners will also get extra content, including exclusive gear and an extra strike.
