Upcoming co-op hunt 'em up, Evolve, has gone gold, and here's a new trailer to celebrate, along with some facial hair...

News

Evolve is one of the most anticipated titles of the year, and has been a long time coming. Taking the Left 4 Dead mould, but throwing in a dangerous, evolving monster instead of the undead, it's set to be a new twist on the co-op FPS, and one that we're very keen to get our hands on. This won't be too long now, as Turtle Rock and 2K have announced the game has gone gold, so will hit the February 10 release date with no problems.

You can see the new cinematic trailer below, which gives us a good idea what to expect when we're out hunting dangerous beasties, and the kinds of impressive tech we'll get to use.

As well as announcing the game's completion, Turtle Rock also made good on its charity promise. During development, members of the team agreed to grow their hair until the game's certification, be it head-based or facial depending on gender, in order to raise money for charity. They pledged a $50 donation for each inch of hair grown during development, and this has amounted to an impressive $11,375, with a total hair measurement of 227.5 inches. 2K matched this amount, so the team managed to raise a total of $22,750 for the Child's Play charity, which is fantastic. Good work all around.

Evolve will be released on February 10 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

Please, if you can, support our charity horror stories ebook, Den Of Eek!, raising money for Geeks Vs Cancer. Details here.
