From Thomas Was Alone creator Mike Bithell comes the neon-drenched sneak-em-up, Volume. Here's a new trailer...
TrailerWith little more than a handful of brightly-coloured rectangles - and a charming narration by Danny Wallace - Thomas Was Aloneemerged as one of the most captivating and absorbing puzzle games of recent years. First appearing as a Flash game way back in 2010, it was overhauled in 2012 and subsequently became an indie hit. If you haven't played Thomas Was Aloneyet for some reason, we'd urge you to give it a try.
The developer behind Thomas Was Alone, Mike Bithell, is tackling something rather different for his next game. It's like a cross between Metal Gear Solid and Tron, in that it's a stealth game set in a distinctive-looking virtual world of geometric shapes and intense colours.
A reworking of the Robin Hood legend, Volumesees you sneak into secure areas to steal information. Lacking weapons of any kind, you're forced to use distraction to lure guards onto the wrong path, giving you a few precious seconds to get to information you're after.
The new trailer below shows off the enemies you're up against. It also lets us hear Andy Serkis, who's provides the voice of the villain, Guy Gisborne. Danny Wallace also returns as Alan, the AI voice you can hear near the start of the promo.
Volumeis due for release later this year on PlayStation 4, Vita, PC and Mac.
