Grand Theft Auto V on PC has suffered a delay, and it'll be in development for another month...
NewsPC gamers still waiting to return to Los Santos are in for a longer wait, as Rockstar has announced that the highly anticipated PC port of GTA V is not going to arrive in February, as previously thought, but has been pushed back to March 24.
The delay will no doubt cause friction in the PC gaming community, who have been waiting for the game for well over a year now. However, Rockstar has said that the extra time will be put to good use, refining and polishing the game, and has apologised for the extra wait.
“Our apologies for the slight shift in the date but the game requires a few extra weeks of testing and polish to make it as good as can be. Moving a release date is never a decision we take lightly and is a choice we make only when we know it is in the best interests of the game and our fans. Thanks everyone for your understanding and we assure you these few extra weeks will be worth it when the game does arrive in March.”
When it does arrive, the PC incarnation of GTA V could well be the best yet, with an even more impressive visual performance, running at 1080p at 60fps with up to 4K resolutions. The PC release will also support triple monitor setups and Nvidia 3D (also with triple monitors).
Additionally, the PC edition will also ship with Rockstar Editor, which is a powerful set of editing tools for users to create their own machinima clips for upload to the Rockstar Social Club and YouTube.
