From the creator of Clock Tower comes the horror point-and-click adventure, NightCry. Here's the first gameplay footage...
NewsIn early January, we saw the first teaser trailer for NightCry, the spiritual successor to the Clock Towerhorror game series. Although heavy on atmospherics and monsters, the teaser showed us nothing of the game itself - something rectified in the first gameplay trailer.
The footage arrives as NightCry launches its Kickstarter campaign, with developer Playism Games is looking for $300,000 to get a more visually detailed version of the game ported across to PC.
With Clock Tower creator Hifumi Kouno at the helm and movie director Takashi Shimizu (The Grudge) on board as a collaborator, NightCry has a sterling pedigree. A point-and-click adventure set on a luxury liner, it's a deadly game of hide and seek: an indestructible creature wielding a pair of scissors is slaughtering the ship's inhabitants, and you - cast in the role of a terrified young woman in an unfeasibly tiny dress - have to avoid his attention.
NightCry is coming to iOS, Android and Vita, and if the Kickstarter campaign's successful, it'll be getting a more polished PC version, too.
You can find out lots more about the game on its Kickstarter page.
