Hit manga and anime series Attack On Titan is getting an arcade game courtesy of Capcom, it's been announced...
NewsAttack On Titan is something of a phenomenon in Japan, and its success has gradually filtered to other shores: the anime series is currently available to watch on Netflix.
Part post-apocalyptic sci-fi, part soap opera and part nightmare, Attack On Titan's about a surviving enclave of humanity struggling to protect its walled city from a race of naked, flesh-eating giants. It's grand in style, nihilistic in tone, and full of violent action.
Appearing in a range of media, including a 3DS game as well as a manga and anime series, for example, Attack On Titan's also set to appear in arcades, it's been announced. The game was announced at the Japan Amusement Expo in Osaka, where Capcom provided little more than a few words on a screen to go with the big reveal.

"An arcade game project begins," a line of text fringed with fire read, according to a translation by Kotaku. Admittedly, it's not a great deal to go on, but it's said that more will be revealed later this summer. With the arcade scene in the west being far quieter than it is in Japan, we'll have to wait and see whether Capcom's Attack On Titan gets a wider release.
More news as we hear it.
