Trine 3 Announced, First Trailer Released

"The Three Heroes embark on a new adventure through an enchanting fairytale world full of wonders, puzzles, dangerous foes and strange magic - coming 2015!"

And with those words, Helsinki-based developer Frozenbyte announced Trine 3: The Artefacts Of Power.

The Trine series began in 2009, and established a fusion of traditional platform puzzling and often spectacular fantasy-themed graphics. Trine 2, in particular, looked absolutely spectacular - a riot of contrasting colours, exotic fauna and appealing character designs.

Trine 3 continues the series' evolution, with its trademark colour joined by some gorgeous looking character models and animation -  take a look at this big chap, for example: 

Trine 3: The Artefacts Of Power is out this year for PC. Frozenbyte have hinted that console editions may be on the way, so more news on that as we get it. Until then, here's the first trailer...
