NewsUbisoft revealed Assassin's Creed Syndicate today in a world event live stream.
We heard several members of the Ubisoft Quebec team (it's their first AC game) talk about the next installment in the action-adventure franchise.
We've compiled everything we know from the official announcement in one post.
Assassin's Creed Syndicate Trailer
The Basic Info
Release Date: October 23
Platforms: PC, XBO, and PS4. It sounds like Ubisoft has let go of last-gen consoles for good.
Setting:Syndicate will take place in 1868 London during the Industrial Revolution, which will provide the game a mix of the sword play the series is famous for with some more modern weaponry.
Assassin's Creed Syndicate Characters
The game stars twin assassins Jacob and Evie Frye, who can switch between at any time in the game. They were born in a village outside of London called Crawley. At the start of the game, they're new to the big city, which will undoubtedly present a lot of adventure and trouble for the characters.
It was also revealed to Game Spot that Charles Darwin and Charles Dickens will be featured in the game. Not too surprising since the series has always liked it's cameos.
Assassin's Creed Syndicate Gameplay
Your goal, besides assassinating targets of course, will be to build your own crime syndicate to battle the evil Templars. New gadgets include a grappling hook. And you'll have the ability to steal vehicles (carriages in this case), not unlike Grand Theft Auto.
