The E3 2015 news just keeps getting better. Bandai Namco confirmed that Dark Souls 3 is on the way in 2016, and even showed off a trailer.
NewsIn a move that will certainly satisfy fans of the franchise, Dark Souls 3 was confirmed to be in development at today's Xbox E3 Media Briefing. Bandai Namco announced that Dark Souls 3will see release in early 2016.
The game was revealed via a pre-rendered trailer, that featured the tagline, "...now only embers remain" and over the course of its two minutes featured plenty of big, bad, bosses that the Dark Souls franchise is known for.

Today's reveal was not a total surprise, as information about the game was leaked ahead of the show, but confirmation is always a good thing.
