
Ubisoft Motion Pictures announce that Frank John Hughes will work on a new draft of Splinter Cell.

New Regency and Ubisoft Motion Pictures announced during Comic-Con that Hughes has brought on to help write the next draft of the Splinter Cell film inspired by the popular video game series.
This is the third draft after editions from Eric Warren Singer (American Hustle) and Sheldon Turner (Up In the Air). As an actor, Hughes has appeared in 24, The Sopranos, and Band of Brothers. His screenwriting credits include the recently adapted sci-fi novel Shovel Ready.
Splinter Cell is set to star Tom Hardy as Sam Fisher, a special ops agent for Echelon, who uses expert stealth and fighting skills along with special gadgets to stop terrorist threats. Doug Liman (Edge of Tomorrow) will direct.
Splinter Cellcurrently does not have a release date.
