Gil Kenan is to direct the Five Nights At Freddy's movie, following his work on Monster House and Poltergeist...
NewsIt's been a few months now since Warner Bros. picked up the movie rights to bring the videogame series Five Nights At Freddy's to the big screen. And it doesn't sound like the studio is messing about: it's found the director for the project.
Gil Kenan, who helmed this year's Poltergeist remake, as well as the excellent animated movie Monster House, is signing on the dotted line to direct the film. Furthermore, he'll pen the screenplay for Five Nights At Freddy's alongside Tyler Burton Smith.
The idea behind the game, if you've not had the pleasure, is to work as a security guard at a pizza restaurant. Er, a pizza restaurant where animatronic delights wander through the corridors, looking for victims. It's a simple concept, and one that's generated three games to date. Not bad, considering the first was released only last year.
The Five Nights At Freddy's movie will be produced by Roy Lee, Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg. More news on the movie as we hear it...
