Gears of War Ultimate Edition will now also include every Gears of War game on the Xbox 360, thanks to backwards compatibility.
NewsIt did seem a little crazy that Gears of War Ultimate Editionwasn't going to include every game in the series, especially since both Halo and basically everything Rare has ever made got the big collection treatment on the Xbox One. Fear not! The Coalition has revealed that, thanks to backwards compatibility on the Xbox One, all of the Gears of Wargames released on the Xbox 360 will be bundled with Gears of Ultimate Edition, which is a remaster of the first game.
Xbox One owners who purchase Gears of War: Ultimate Edition will get access to the Xbox 360 versions of Gears of War, Gears of War 2, Gears of War 3, and Gears of War: Judgment for a limited time.
In order to get the deal, you'll need to buy the Gears of War: Ultimate Edition between Aug. 25 and Dec. 31, 2015. All of the Gears of War titles will support Xbox One features like Game DVR, screenshots, and Snap.
