Nintendo's first mobile game is called Miitomo, and it probably isn't what you were expecting...
NewsWe've known for a while that Nintendo had some big plans for mobile games. Five games are slated between now and 2017, and the first title has been revealed. The game is called Miitomo, and it's probably not what you were expecting.
Miitomo takes the Mii avatars you love so much from Nintendo's other platforms and gives them their own mobile communication game. New Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima said on Wednesday in Tokyo that in the free-to-play game, users will create a Mii character, which will communicate with your friends' Miis. The game is meant to facilitate conversation between friends about things they wouldn't have brought up on their own.
“You might dig up some previously-buried topics of conversation, learn about a surprising side of your friend you’ve never seen before, find things you never knew you had in common,” Kimishima said.
Is this as confusing to you as it is to me?
The game arrives in March 2016.
