EA promises more DLC for Star Wars Battlefront, and who are we to complain? Details here.
NewsBeautiful looking though it is, Star Wars Battlefront has received a certain amount of criticism for its relative lack of longevity. What players do have to look forward to, though, is The Battle of Jakku, a free bit of DLC that takes place before the events of December's The Force Awakens.
In it, Rebels clash with Empire forces in an effort to destroy the latter's base. Yesterday, EA DICE wrote a blog post about what we can expect from what it calls the Turning Point mode. With Imperial Star Destroyers and other bits of debris raining down from the sky, it sounds like a dramatic battle to wade into.
But beyond that, what else will Star Wars Battlefront players have to look forward to? While EA isn't getting into specifics at the moment, it's stated in a new post that, "We have lots of new content coming over the next several months that will provide new ways to immerse yourself in Star Wars."
"Of course, we are also planning to support Star Wars Battlefrontwith new content well into the future," the post continues. "We will be adding more of what you love about the game, like new maps and Star Cards, for free in the coming months, in addition to all of the content we have coming with Season Pass."
There are no dates for the additional content as yet, but we're sure to hear more after the Battle of JakkuDLC launches on Dec.1 for pre-order customers and Dec. 8 for mere Padawans.
