From the creators of Max Payne and Alan Wake comes the ambitious new action game Quantum Break. New trailer and PC details within...
Remedy Entertainment, who previously brought us Max Payne and Alan Wake, are expecting big things from its latest third-person action game, Quantum Break. As well as the game itself, there's an accompanying digital TV show that will not only provide additional details about the game's backstory, but also allow players to choose what happens at the end of each episode. It's said that choices made in the game will affect the show and vice versa.
It's the kind of high concept that doesn't come cheap, particularly when you have actors like Game of Thrones' Aidan Gillen and Lost's Dominic Monaghan in the mix. It's now been confirmed that Quantum Break is coming to PC as well as Xbox One (it was once supposed to be an Xbox exclusive). There are added bonuses to buying the game on Xbox One, though, which includes a free download of Remedy's last game, Alan Wake. And those who pre-order Quantum Break for Xbox One will also get a free copy of Alan Wake: American Nightmare. So basically, a pre-order gets you three games in one.
The trailer below explains what's going on with Quantum Break's release as well as the way the TV show interacts with the game. Below that you'll find the live-action promo in isolation, which doesn't tell us much about the game but at least gives a hint of its fancy "time stutter" mechanic.
Quantum Break launches on April 5 for Xbox One and PC.
