Epic Games says it's focusing on its new MOBA, Paragon, and then going back to sandbox survival game Fortnite.

What exactly is Epic Games working on these days? It seemed that its sandbox survival game, Fortnite, was poised to release last year before it was delayed to an unknown date. Since then, the company has announced a new MOBA, Paragon, which it has been promoting pretty heavily for the past few months.

Speaking to Game Informer, Epic CEO Tim Sweeney revealed that Fortnite has indeed taken a back seat to Paragon. Said Sweeney, "We figure we should start with one major successful launch and do one at a time. Fortnite will be next."

Paragon is now in Early Access on PC and PS4.

"Fortniteis moving ahead full-speed," he added. "It's a game with awesome and complex RPG type systems, and a really interesting meta game around it. It's a game that takes time to get right. It remains a huge priority for Epic, and expect more news to come out over time."

Fortnite was originally announced in 2011 and has been in alpha testing since 2014. It'll be a while yet before Epic slaps a release date on it. Until then, you can sign up for the alpha on the games's official site

Also in the works is a new Unreal Tournament, which will be free-to-play and released on the PC. Epic did not comment on the progress of the project.
