Doom is out this week. You've played the multiplayer, so it's time to check out the single-player campaign!
Doom, one of the most highly anticipated games of the year, is finally out on Friday, and it's got big shoes to fill. This reboot carries the wait of both its predecessor's innovative arena multiplayer shooter and fast-paced, shotgun-toting single-player campaign. We got a taste of the new Doom's multiplayer last month, and while I really loved it, one of our staff writers had a less favorable response.
My hopes really lie with the single-player, though, a mode I haven't previewed at all. Single-player is where Doommade its name all the way back in the early 90s and it will hopefully be the mode we're all praising by next week. Yes, I know: objectivity.
Although Bethesda didn't unleash the campaign in an open beta, the publisher hasn't been shy about showing off the single-player action, and with the inevitable release, they're dropping even bigger glimpses of the mode. One, which you can find all the way at the bottom, is an hour-long look at the campaign.
