Xbox Live will be getting Cortana, competitive tournaments, and new ways to connect with fellow gamers online.
Microsoft has announced a slew of new features coming to Xbox Live throughout the rest of 2016. This summer will first see the release of background music functionality, as well as the intelligence of Cortana incorporated into the Xbox Live platform.
Then in the fall, we will see the release of three other fan requested features on Xbox Live. “Clubs” allows players to create their own communities based on liked interests. “Looking for Group” is described as a want ad for multiplayer, which allows players to seek out like-minded gamers using postings with specific parameters.
Lastly, “Arena” is a tournament platform that will feature support from games like EA’s FIFA in the coming years.
