UbiSoft confirms its plans to make a movie out of the Watch Dogs videogames...
UbiSoft is overseeing a growing slate of movies based on its videogames, with Assassin’s Creeddue this Christmas (starring Michael Fassbender), and Jake Gyllenhaal recently cast in the movie version of The Division.
One more you can add to the list? A movie based on the videogame Watch Dogs, which has been on the table for awhile, but hasn't amounted to anything yet. However, UbiSoft has now confirmed the project, just a week after it’s formally announced that Watch Dogs 2 will be heading to Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
The reaffirmation that a movie was on the way came at the E3 videogame trade show, although as things stand, actual details on the project are notable by their absence. We don’t know which filmmakers, if any, are attached, or how high up the priority list a Watch Dogs movie is.
As you were for the minute, then, until further details finally land. Just we assured that the Watch Dogs film, complete with the hacking of lots of cameras no doubt, is on the way.
