The upcoming zombie survival sequel features a robust co-op component. Here’s our first look at State of Decay 2!
State of Decay 2, a sequel to the popular zombie survival game, was officially unveiled during Microsoft’s E3 2016 presentation. The debut cinematic trailer puts an emphasis on teamwork in the zombie apocalypse, as State of Decay 2 will feature a seamless co-operative component.
In an interview with IGN, Undead Labs founder Jeff Strain revealed that State of Decay 2 was originally intended to be an MMO, but that the development team switched gears and started making it a drop-in/drop-out multiplayer co-op experience based on fan feedback.
State of Decay 2 will be released in 2017 as an Xbox One and Windows 10 exclusive. It will also be a part of Microsoft’s newly announced Xbox Play Anywhere program. You can check out the reveal trailer just above.
