If the latest patch didn't fix the issue, here's how you can solve the Google permissions problem on Pokemon Go.
Despite that recent patch to the iOS version of Pokemon GO that was supposedly designed to fix an error in the game that caused it to request full access to the Google accounts of those players that chose the Google sign-in option, it appears that some Pokemon GO iOS users are reporting that their permission settings remain unaltered.
Fortunately, those who have downloaded the patch are now able to change those settings manually if they were not already corrected.
In order to start this process, you will first need to check on the status of your current permissions setting. In order to do so, open the Connected Apps tab on your Google account where you should see the Pokemon GO app listed. If you select the app and notice that your permissions are set to partial account access, then no further action is required. However, if your permissions are still set to full account access, then you will need to fix this setting via the following steps:
1. Make sure that you have the latest version of Pokemon GO installed. If not, please download the newest version from the App Store before continuing.
2. Open the Pokemon GO app and log out of your account from the settings menu.
3. Go back to the connected apps area of your Google account mentioned above. There, you should see a "Remove" option for Pokemon GO. Select this option and choose "OK" when prompted to remove access.
4. Open Pokemon GO again and log-in via your Google account. After selecting "Allow" on the menu prompt, you should now be sending only basic account information.
To be safe, you may want to go back into your Google account afterwards just to make sure that the permissions switch occurred. If you are worried about what developer Niantic was able to access when they had full permission, please note that the developer claims this setting did not give them the ability to use your Google account on your behalf.
