Everything you've every wanted to know about Rise of Iron and were perfectly willing to ask.

Destiny players that have been trying to squeeze every Rise of Iron press release and stream preview for all the details they're worth were gifted with a bonanza of new information today as tidbits have emerged from the interview Bungie recently gave to Game Informerconcerning Destiny's latest expansion.

While not every detail disclosed in the feature has been made publically available, some fascinating details regarding the highly-anticipated Rise of Iron have been revealed and include

- Remakes of old strike maps Devil's Lair and The Summoning Pits

- The return of Festival of The Lost this October as well as a new Sparrow Racing League season starting in December

- A new Crucible mode (Supremacy) as well as a new Horde Mode titled Archon's Forge. The developers also teased that Rise of Iron will include a "long-awaited" new Crucible feature that they have received numerous requests for.

- Rise of Iron will also include eight new artifacts that all grant the player some kind of unique ability. Not every artifact was detailed, but Bungie did mention that one will allow you to gain control of enemies via melee attacks and that another will allow you to rid yourself of that nasty sprint lag.

- The new max light level is now confirmed to be 385, but that will be raised to 400 when the hard mode of the game's newest raid is unlocked.

- Speaking of that new raid, it's called Wrath of the Machine and is apparently just as good as the exceptional raids that have, thus far, arguably served as the highlight of Destiny for many players.

Those who wish to purchase the issue and discover all the details for themselves (as well as call themselves the proud owners of a pretty sweet magazine cover) may do so here

As a reminder, Rise of Iron is currently set to release on September 20, 2016 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
