Skype has announced today that the company is offering Free Group Video Calling and up to 100 worldwide minutes per month for calls to mobiles and landlines in over 50 countries, all for free for six months with an Xbox Live Gold membership on Xbox One.
Do you realize what this means!? You can pause your game, pull up Skype and order a pizza right from your Xbox One, and then dive right back into your gaming while you wait for the pizza to arrive. (I wonder if "Xbox Order Domino's" is one of the set commands for the Xbox One?) Or, you can use those minutes to call your grandmother that doesn't own a computer to wish her a happy birthday. The choice is yours!
Skype is also noting some other changes to Skype for the Xbox One, such as the wide view camera with auto zoom and pan that follows your movement as you move about your living room in full 1080p HD quality, and of course the snapable apps we've already known about for months.
