E3 2016 gifted us with an extended look at Watch Dogs 2 in action via an in-game sequence that shows off the game's new style as well as an involved infiltration mission. If you want to see how far along the game truly is, you've got to watch this demo:

Ubisoft has unveiled the first look at Watch Dogs 2 today with a collection of cinematic and gameplay trailers. The opening cinematic trailer focuses on the new San Francisco location and features everyday citizens using technology on the streets, as well as the seedy underground of hackers who manipulate these devices to do their own bidding. The trailer also highlights some iconic locations in San Francisco, such as the Golden Gate Bridge submerged in Bay Area fog. The team calls it the “wild west of technology,” and promises exciting hacking scenarios where the big tech companies of Silicon Valley are located. The ctOS system which powered all of Chicago in the first game makes a return in Watch Dogs 2 to fuel the new city.

The new protagonist in Watch Dogs 2 is named Marcus Holloway, a young hacker accused of a crime he didn’t commit, which in turn forced him to go against the system. Marcus differs from Aiden Pierce in that Marcus is a lot better at parkour, and also has a unique arsenal of weapons and gadgets courtesy of a 3D printer, such as the RC Jumper and a tiny drone called the Quad Copter. You can also play through the game in a completely nonlethal manner using a taser if you wish.

There will also be a lot more depth to hacking in Watch Dogs 2, with players now being able to remotely hack vehicles for the first time in the series. As such, every character and vehicle in the game is completely hackable. For instance, Marcus can create a distraction by targeting a person’s phone and making it go off. Later on, a mass hacking ability will allow players to hack a large group of people simultaneously. There will also be an online cooperative component that Ubisoft plans to discuss in more detail over the coming months.
