Nintendo is porting two of its big Wii U games to the 3DS, and The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is coming to the Wii U!
Today's Nintendo Direct revealed that two Wii U games are being ported to the 3DS in the coming months. Super Mario Maker will hit the handheld on Dec 2., and will feature 100 courses created by Nintendo. Players will also be able to go online and play courses created last year on the Wii U. Not all Wii U courses will be compatible with the 3DS, though. Players can also share courses online or via StreetPass, and collaborate on them together. The full suite of tools from the Wii U version will be available for course creation, aside from Mystery Mushrooms.
Yoshi's Woolly World will also arrive on the 3DS on Feb. 3. The game will include all of the platforming stages from the Wii U version, as well as new Poochy stages. A trio of Poochy Pups will also help Yoshi discover secrets within the levels. A new Yarn Poochy amiibo is also coming, both bundled with the game and sold separately. The 3DS version of the game is actually called Poochy and Yoshi's Woolly World. Say that fives times fast.
Finally, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is making its debut on the Wii U today. It's available for purchase and download on the Virtual Console. Note that this isn't a remastered or updated version of the game, but the original Wii version.
