Someone got the upcoming Monster Hunter Stories' chocolate mixed up with The Legend of Zelda's peanut butter, and the result is this Reeses-like new trailer for the upcoming Monster Hunter Stories which will feature items from The Legend of Zelda.

This actually isn't the first time that Monster Hunter and The Legend of Zelda have joined forces to deliver something awesome, as a previous update to Monster Hunter Generations featured special items and characters taken from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. This upcoming mash-up is very similar, but this time, the crossover items are being pulled from the entirety of the Zelda franchise as opposed to one entrant.

Specifically, Monster Hunter Stories will feature items like Link's green tunic, Majora's mask, and everyone's favorite video game horse Epona. The game's main character is set to receive Link's clothes, Master Sword, and shield, while their sidekick can be outfitted with Skull Kid gear. Epona, meanwhile, will take over for your hero's chosen monster, despite the fact we do not condone associating the legendary Epona with the word monster in any fashion. These clothes and items will also be available to both character genders.

The combination of these two properties doesn't initially sound like the most natural thing in the video game world, but it's hard to argue that the final product does look pretty great and really does an excellent job of selling the fact that you are playing as Link in a Monster Hunter game.

Sadly, it looks like only players in Japan will be able to take advantage of these fresh new accessories as Monster Hunter Stories (at least in the short-term) as Monster Hunter Stories does not currently have a Western Release date. It will, however, be available in Japan on October 8th for the 3DS.
