Are you tired of knowledge and facts ruining your good time? Is logic letting you down? Do you wish for a better world in which ignorance reigns supreme? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then don't feel ashamed. Instead, check out this conveniently located trailer for Quote:
Quote is an action-RPG in which you play a servant to a god. Not just any old god, mind you, but the god of ignorance who has decided that it's finally time to rid the world of all its burdensome knowledge and let ignorance rule the day. As the high priestess Novella, you will be responsible for destroying some of the world's foremost sources of information which include, but are not limited to, books and the very thoughts people are currently having. Ironically enough in a game about destroying thought and knowledge, you will also be required to solve a couple of puzzles during your quest.
Gameplay-wise, Quote appears to have taken inspiration from the likes of Braid as the segmented levels and isometric perspective of the combat harken back directly to that title. What's really fascinating about this project, however, is its overall style. Written by Rock, Paper, Shotgun founder Alec Meer and Pandora: First Contact author Dan Griliopoulos, Quote already exhibits a bountiful amount of quick wit and compelling characters that the final game will almost certainly expand upon.
The eye-catching art and visual effects, meanwhile, seems to be inspired by everything from Monty Python animated segments to recent Pixar films.
Quote is currently set to make its Steam Early Access debut in the Winter of 2016, while the full release is temporarily set for sometime in 2017.
