In the words of Homer Simpson, "Eh, close enough."

If you're one of the many gamers that have screamed their lungs sore crying out for Red Dead Redemption on PC, your prayers have just been answered.
Well...kind of.
Rockstar and Sony have announced that they plan to bring Red Dead Redemption to the PlayStation Now streaming service. The service that allows PS4 gamers to "stream" PS3 games to their system so long as they pay the $19.99 a month service fee was recently ported over to the PC. In essence, this means that gamers will be able to play Red Dead Redemption on PC so long as they are subscribed to the service.
This isn't exactly what most fans had in mind when they imagined finally playing Rockstar's wild west epic on their PCs, but it's not all bad news. PlayStation Now's PC service has received rave user reviews since it was first unveiled meaning that there isn't much room for an awful PC port of this one.
Sony and Rockstar have not confirmed the release date for the PlayStation Now version of Red Dead Redemption, but the post on the PlayStation blog which announced the game's arrival to PlayStation Now does suggest that the release date will be "soon."
Additionally, that blog post informs us of an exclusive partnership between Sony and Rockstar as it concerns the release of Red Dead Redemption 2. Sony has revealed that PS4 gamers will receive "first access" to select online content for the game. As it has been in similar instances in the past, this is most likely a reference to some kind of online content that will eventually be available to Xbox One players but will debut on PS4.
Given that we only know with certainty that Red Dead Redemption 2 will take place in the wild west, the nature of this exclusive content is still a mystery at this time.
