In less than three weeks, the Master of Fist finally makes his return to Street Fighter as DLC. Here's his trailer and some cool pics!

While it’s been announced that Akuma would be the next world warrior to show up in Street Fighter V, it isn’t until now that we finally get to see him in action. While quite overshadowed by the Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite announcement, Capcom’s released a new trailer that lets us see Akuma’s new fighting style and his...interesting new haircut.

Check him out right here.

Akuma has some new tricks in there, like a rolling attack and other minor attacks. But, like all Street Fighter Vcharacters, he has his special abilities that come from his V-meter. His V-Skill, called Rakan, allows him to counter attacks. The V-Trigger, Dohatsu Shoten, upgrades his fireballs so that they get better range and can fire two in the air.

Not only does he have a Critical Art with the Sekie Koretsuha where he smashes the ground and envelops the opponent with the blast, but he also has his trademark Shun Goku Satsu. It can only be done when in V-Trigger mode and it even shows off more of the traditionally-off-screen attack than we normally get.

Akuma also looks like Big Bear from Forever People. Or Kalibak, if you want a slightly-less-obscure DC Comics reference. The nice thing here is that since this game takes place prior to Street Fighter III, it just means it was a dumb fashion phase Akuma went through.

At least he has several skins that make him look less ridiculous. One of which has him dealing with some gnarly battle damage, somewhat resembling how he looked at the end of the Street Fighter III: Ryu Final manga.

Akuma will be making his way to the online store on December 20, but we also get to see the big news that he’ll be followed by five brand new characters!

Who are they? Well, I’d bet that Kolin and that general that Guile talks to a couple times in the story mode are involved. Maybe we’ll finally get Mike Haggar too.

Guess we’ll find out soon enough.
