The Big Gaming Anniversaries of 2017

If you've been gaming since the days of Pong, this list is going to make you feel really, really old. The first major arcade game turns 45 in November, preceded by the release of the first home console, the Magnavox Odyssey in September 1972. And there are plenty of more big anniversaries this year that will make you wonder where the time has gone.

Final Fantasy, The Legend of Zelda, Metroid Prime, Contra, Wolfenstein 3D, and Street Fighterare only a few of the other classic titles that are celebrating milestone anniversaries this year. Below, you can find a complete list of the big video game anniversaries of 2017.
