Is Heroes: Season Five one step closer? Microsoft announced they are likely to launch Xbox One original shows in early 2014.

It looks like Microsoft is set to debut their original shows in early 2014.

According to Nancy Tellem, president of entertainment and digital for Microsoft, Microsoft is very close to launching their original shows on Xbox Live.

"We're hoping we will be able to put something up in the first quarter, at minimum second quarter," Tellem told Variety.

"I'm incredibly ambitious and impatient," she continued.  Developing original series for Microsoft has, admittedly, taken longer than Tellem would like.  After spending years with CBS and the CW, the tv executive learned the ins and outs of how content is created.

Tellem added, "we're trying to focus on whether it's only on Xbox or best on Xbox."

There are currently 48 million Xbox Live subscribers on more than 72 million Xbox consoles around the world--many of which are awaiting the promised TV content.  As of right now, we don't know what show(s) will debut first for Microsoft.  But, hopefully, this means we are one step closer to seeing Spielberg's Halo project and/or the rumored Heroes: Season Five
