Blizzard is back on the road to world domination, as World of Warcraft subscriptions have increased. Slightly.
Blizzard announced that Word of Warcraft subscriptions had hit 7.8 million by the end of 2013. That's a 200K subscriber increase from the last quarter.
World of Warcraft continues to be the elite MMORPG experience. Mists of Pandaria, which brought an increase in subscribers after a steady decrease since 2010, is coming to a close. The next expansion, Warlords of Draenor, will start closed beta "soon."
At its peak, WoW boasted 12 million subs. There were 10 million subscribers when Mists of Pandariafirst launched.
