Stop what you're doing and respect our authoritah! South Park: Stick of Truth is coming in March!
Not only is Ubisoft assuring us that South Park: The Stick of Truth, the franchise's first full-length console release since 2000, will arrive in stores on March 4, but the publisher has also announced that the game has already gone GOLD. I'll coin the term now: the South Park Renaissance.
If you don't know, Stick of Truth is an RPG developed by Obsidian Entertainment, whose worked on other blockbuster RPGs such as Fallout: New Vegas and Knights of the Old Republic II. The game looks like the fantasy parodies the TV series has done in the past. Cartman and pals are even wearing the costumes they first used in the famous episode "The Return of the Fellowship of the Ring to the Two Tower" which parodies The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Coming to PC, Xbox 360, and PS3, the game has gone through several delays. It was originally going to be published by THQ, but the company went bankrupt and was forced to auction off the right to Ubisoft, who must've seen a crapload of potential in the title. And it seems to have paid off!
Still, the game was supposed to drop during Holiday 2013, but that didn't happen either. It would seem that the wait is almost over, though.
Hopefully, the game will finally arrive as promised. I'm personally very stoked for this game. I loved playing the original South Park game for N64 as kid. Tons of unadulterated fun when my parents weren't looking!
