What beter news to receive on Valentine's Day than that of the release date for The Evil Within. Bethesda Softworks has announced the official release date for their highly anticipated upcoming survival horror game The Evil Within, and it will be released on August 26, 2014 in North America and August 29, 2014 throughout Europe for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PC.
The game is developed by Shinji Mikami with a team at Tango Gameworks. The Evil Within allegedly embodies the meaning of pure survival horror--and we don't doubt it, judging by the trailers that we've seen for the game.
Bethesda took to Vine to release a short teaser video/advertisement for the game, which is the first sort of video game advertisement that I've seen on the platform. And I have to say, it's kind of neat. Check out the teaser below for The Evil Within, and look for the horror game to hit stores in August.
