Behaviour Interactive, makers of Naughty Bear and a slew of kiddie titles (Monsters Inc. Scream Team, The Ant Bully), has acquired the rights to make a Warhammer MMO titled Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade, the first ever MMORPG in the 40k universe.
Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade will be made for Xbox One, PS4, and PC for late 2015.
Eternal Crusade will be a 3rd person shooter with "brutal melee combat", and will take place on a persistent planet savaged by war; a war you and your buddies will be fighting in. There will be four factions to choose from at launch: Space Marines, Eldar, Orks and Chaos.
Players will be able to customize their characters as they progress, and will be able to use Rhinos, Battlewagons, and other vehicles. Behaviour Interactive teased battles with thousands of players fighting for territory and resources.
Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade has the potential to take a bite out of the MMORPG market, as the Warhammer franchise has a large following. Hopefully, Behaviour Interactive can capitalize on the opportunity they've created, and make a game with lasting power, unlike Naughty Bear.
