The free-to-play card battling game celebrates its official release with new gameplay tweaks and other fixes.
Blizzard Entertainment has announced that Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft has been unleashed onto the public as an official release this week. The highly stylized 1v1 card battling game could be played in several different beta forms over the last couple of months, where it really started to pick up steam among strategy fans. But while Hearthstonemight look like a simple game at first glance, the depth of strategy involved is just as complex as any number of Blizzard’s other renowned games (the game IS set in the Warcraftuniverse, after all!).
In addition to being newly christened as an “official” game release, now that Hearthstoneis finally out of beta, Blizzard has also enacted a number of gameplay tweaks and changes to go along with the news. Among the many updates to the game, players can expect to find new Ranked Play rewards, some balancing tweaks to the Tinkmaster Overspark and Nat Pagle cards, a snappy reconnection feature for smoother online gameplay, and a bunch of other bug fixes for a smoother game experience overall.
