Dictators, ye be warned about watching this new cinematic trailer for Tropico 5!
Are you in the mood for some more Tropico 5 goodness? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Kalypso has just unveiled a brand new cinematic trailer for the upcoming simulation game, and while there’s no glimpse of any actual gameplay in this one, it’s got all of the style and humor that you’d only expect to find in a Tropicogame.
The new cinematic trailer is seemingly a big homage to the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, with certain segments ripped directly from the iconic franchise starring Johnny Depp, like Captain Jack Sparrow stepping off a sinking mast and onto a dock. Perhaps this could be a reference to the game’s updated trade system and trade fleet, or the emphasis on exploration of your new island over several different eras.
But it’s probably just because the Pirates of the Caribbean movies are just so awesome.
Kalypso first announcedTropico 5 earlier this year for PS4, Xbox 360, PC, and Mac, and now the end of this trailer lets us know that the developer is shooting for an early summer 2014 release.
