Love the MOBA? Well, it's time to read the Infinite Crisis comic book companion series.
Infinite Crisis: Fight for the Multiverse #1 is coming from DC Comics on July 16.
Awfully redundant, you say? People remember the major DC event from 2005 that once again rocked the DC Multiverse. A sequel to the classic Crisis on Infinite Earths, Infinite Crisis is an unforgettable adventure for the universe's greatest heroes, as they fight to keep reality from tearing itself apart.
But the new Infinite Crisis: Fight for the Multiverse is not exactly that. Infinite Crisis as we know it today is a MOBA (massive online battle arena) game that pits your favorite DC heroes and villains against each other in team-based multiplayer carnage on maps based on the 52 Earths from the comics. So you might want to play as Nightmare Superman or Gaslight Batman on Gotham Divided, a map being ripped apart by its different realities. Or maybe Atomic Wonder Woman is more your style?
Basically, Infinite Crisis, the game created by Turbine Inc., is a huge game that encompasses all the different DC crossover events from the past decades. It's a nerd's dream. In order to tell the story of the MOBA, DC is releasing a companion comic that will better unveil the narrative of the game to the masses.
